THE BUNCH

Our second album, released in 2020, was awarded second prize by Polish Radio in the Folkowy Fonogram Roku 2020 competition and was selected in the Top of the World category by Songlines magazine. The material on the album comes from traditional master musicians, who passed it down to us either through direct encounters and playing music together or through archival recordings from both recent and more distant times. Among these master village musicians were Piotr Gaca, Czesław Kocemba, Tadeusz Jedynak, Tadeusz Moczarski, Władysław Kosylak, Franciszek Racis, and Stanisława Czuper. On this album, we perform melodies that reflect the dance traditions of the Radom, Mazovia, and Suwałki regions, as well as melancholic songs that strike the heart with their distinct melodies, lyrical beauty, and philosophical wisdom in the lyrics.
